Emma Jo is 4!!

Well I started this last Tuesday and am finally getting it posted today!!!

Good Monday--I mean Tuesday afternoon
I just wanted to share with you that my little Emma Jo turned 4 on Saturday! It is very much bittersweet. I remember 4 years ago like it was yesterday. All I wanted to do was sit and hold her and look at her. I would love to still be able to do that, but she is a little lady now and much too busy for Mom to hold her for hours at a time. However, she is very much a Mommy's girl, we are BFF's. Everytime I hear those 3 little letters come out of her mouth, I smile the biggest smile. I am very thankful that she is healthy and growing, but sometimes it is so hard. Just to see how big and smart she is brings a tear to my eye. I know that these precious years will be so short!

This weekend was packed with nothing but FUN!!

I started my weekend on Thursday at noon....only to go home and CLEAN!! Shala arrived in Wichita Falls later that evening. We sat up rather late just catching up "in person". We chat everyday, all day, but it is not the same.

Shala, Emma, and I started Friday with a trip to the SPA for Mani's and Pedi's. It was AWESOME. Emma was such a big girl, and I think she is HOOKED. haha She sat up there like a big girl enjoying every minute of the pampering. We then went on to Emma's favorite restaurant, Samurai of Tokyo, it was as good as always. We spent the afternoon doing what girls love to do--SHOPPING!! We finally went and picked up Easton from school. We decided that this was not the day that he would enjoy. He was excited to see all of us. It was neat for the kids to be able to show Shala their school! We finished the day with dinner at Parkway Grill.

Saturday was the BIG DAY. Emma Jo's birthday. We started the day with Daddy cooking Emma's favorite--PANCAKES. We all got ready for the day while the guests started arriving. Emma had her party at Jump for Joy. I think we had 15 kiddos there. Emma enjoyed EVERY moment of the attention--although she gets a bit shy when everyone is watching her! (Just like her Daddy)

Sunday we headed to the waterpark--Castaway Cove. Shala, No Name, Poppa, Kiki, Josh, Norva, Bobby, Brayden, and Cara joined us. Although the temps were in the triple digits....IT WAS A BLAST.

Monday----All I can say is rest and recuperation.

Monday went too FAST!!!

Well....here it is Tuesday, and I missed blogging on Monday!!

Just to touch on the wonderful weekend.....Mashala and James arrived late Friday night. On Saturday we did some of everything...INCLUDING the Casino!! Although I didn't win the Millions, I had a blast trying. I really enjoyed having the both of them here and I guess our next time together will be in the BIG CITY--Midland.

Hope everyone is well on their way to being "DONE" Christmas shopping (is there such a thing??). I am headed to do some tonight after work, wish me luck!!!

Till next time.........

Finally Friday!!

Well, this is 2 posts in one week.....I am on a roll.

I am super excited that today is Friday, not only because I will have 2 days off....but more importantly my cousin, Mashala and her husband James will be headed to Wichita Falls after work today!

I have tried and tried to think of something neat to do while they are here, but unfortunately WF does not have much to offer.....other than the lovely CASINOS right past the Texas/Oklahoma border. Mashala and James like to gamble as much as my James and I. That is probably not the greatest thing to do around the holidays, but you never know. Maybe we will walk away HUGE winners.

That is very possible......last Friday (black Friday) the casino in Lawton, OK (which is the same tribe as one of the casinos we will visit) did have a GINORMOUS winner. The anonymous person was playing a Wheel of Fortune "penny" machine, when they hit a WHOPPING $4 Million......now that is a winner. I am sure that person and their family will have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Maybe 1 of the 4 of us will have some of that luck.

Like I said I am very excited to have Mashala and James come and visit us. I love getting to spend time with the both of them, but mostly Shala.....she is the BEST cousin/friend anyone could ever ask for!!

Guess who is due in 21 days??

Well, as you can see I have not done very well at blogging.....Maybe this should be my New Year's Resolution.

Speaking of.....Guess who is due is 21 days???
Well, as glad as I am to say it, IT IS NOT ME!!

Santa Claus is due to visit many good little girls and boys. This is very exciting to me because my Emma Jo is really excited about Christmas this year. She is 3, and I guess she knows a little more about what is going on this year, especially Santa. Her past Christmas events have just been us buying all these neat gifts, spending a fortune, AND her wanting to play with the boxes!! I am not saying that I did not enjoy those precious times!! It has just been neat this year getting to talk to her about what she wants Santa to bring. I guess the TRUE fun is James and I running around trying to find what she is talking about (not sure that it even exsists). We will do our best though, and I am sure that she will be excited Christmas morning no matter what.

Of course, I still have Easton James that WILL love those boxes.

Weekend over??

Well here I am again...not doing to good with the blogging, but I am trying!! Finding a time to actually get on the computer is a challenge.

This weekend was such a good weekend!! James was off, so he and I actually got to stay home with our kiddos and get some much needed stuff done around the house. Well...let me re-phrase that, James got a lot done!! I seem to always have a running list for him. A couple of months ago I had a vision of moving our computer into a closet (more of a project than I thought). The computer (and giant desk) has been in what we have called Easton's room. Bless his heart, most of his stuff is in there, but it is basically the JUNK room! Well....thanks to James it is well on its way to being a little boy room!

My First Day at Blogging!!

Well, what can I say?
I have finally given in to blogging!! I have always thought that this was a great way to keep up with peoples lives, but just never gave anyone the privilage of keeping up with mine. Well....here it is!!

As most people know, that know me and my bunch very well....I do live a pretty exciting life...at least there are hardly any DULL moments!!

I have 2 wonderful kiddos (they will probably be the main topic of most of the blogs). Emma Jo is 3 and Easton James is 6 months. They really are great kids! My mom always tells me that I should be thankful for how good my kids act. I am very thankful for not only their actions, but THEM!! I love them so much!! I can't imagine life before I had them. Wait, yeah I do...I rested, watched what I wanted to on the TV, and when I went out to eat--McDonalds wasn't the only restaurant in town. Just kidding. I wouldn't change it for the world! Once again, I love them bunches and thank the Lord daily for blessing me with 2 beautiful, healthy, and well-behaved kids.

Here's to my first BLOG...hopefully many more to follow!!
